Pacific Thought Symposium
Lemi Ponifasio / MAU
Supported by Creative New Zealand
In Pacific culture Tã is how we act and manipulate things in the world. Tã is the making of art and our interactions with the natural environment. Vã is how we locate ourselves and others in the world by creating space and orderliness.
The dynamic relationship between these concepts is the focus of the Pacific Thought Symposium: an opportunity to engage with Pacific philosophy through presentations from Pacific elders, artists and academics including John Pule, Okusitino Mahina, Albert Refiti, Filipe Tohi and Lemi Ponifasio.
