Alisa Swidler
Alisa is an American ex-pat who has lived in England since 2002 with her husband and five young children. Alisa was Vice Chair of a private foundation until February 2010 and is currently Trustee and Co-Chair of The One Foundation.
In the past 5 years, Alisa has partnered with both the President William J Clinton Foundation to provide access to vaccines in Timor Leste, and with Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Unite advising both their work in Harare and their current campaign around Fistula. She also served on the Boards of Right to Play and Save the Children, focusing on child survival in rural Liberia. Her current roster of projects includes installing solar/wind powered street lights in Dakar and building a floating hospital on Lake Tanganika. She also serves on the UK Advisory Board of Jeffrey Sachs' Millennium Promise, is an Ambassador to Prince William's charity for homeless youth in London, Centrepoint, and is on the Board of TLG Capital, a frontier market investment group.
