LIFT has commissioned a new project from Urban Theatre Projects (UTP), one of Australia’s leading contemporary theatre companies who have achieved an international reputation for producing arresting site-specific work.
Urban Theatre Projects is a first-class theatre company that tells gritty, real-life, outstanding stories and is taking them to the world.

Over the last two years and leading up to LIFT 2014, UTP’s creative team will work in phases in London developing a new production that tells the stories of those who are considered London’s working poor: its hidden communities of immigrant, manual shift workers who are earning low wages that trap them in poverty.
UTP will be undertaking Phase Two of their research and development for the project in September, and we're all very excited to be involved in the project.
