The increasing commodification of culture presents dramatic challenges for art, and in his book, The Future Of Ideas - The Fate Of The Commons In A Connected World, Professor Lawrence Lessig calls for artists to rise to the challenge. Creative Commons In A Connected World, Lessig's lecture for LIFT's Creative Commons lecture season, is an equally impassioned and meticulously-researched attack on the corporate forces strangling not just creativity but also the very meaning of culture itself.
