Whilst visiting the LIFT Living Archive at Goldsmiths Students looked at the Urban Dream Capsules event and questioned who was the performer, who was the audience and “Is living performance?”. Inspired by these questions they began to document their own lives and memories, building an installation in the school display cabinets at the entrance to their school. Over 4 days it was transformed from housing trophies and models to housing the favourite childhood toys, self portraits and musings of these class of students.

On the final day of the project the display cabinets where inhabited by the students themselves at break times and at the end of the school day when the entrance hall is filled by the students of the whole school. Taking photos of people who looked at them; communicating through writing notes to each other on opposite sides of the walls and sleeping under mounds of paper only awakening and responding to the nervous tappings of the unsure audience.
